Question: Can Modelon Impact be installed in air-gapped environments?🔗
Answer: No, you can not install Modelon Impact onto air-gapped environments. Currently Modelon Impact requires a Internet connection to download images from Modelon repositories, during installation and at runtime.
Question: Can Modelon Impact be installed on a URL subpath?🔗
Answer: No, this is currently not supported.
Question: Can I install Modelon Impact somewhere else than in /var/impact?🔗
Answer: Yes, you can place this folder anywhere on your server. Just note that the installation uses this path for starting/stopping Modelon Impact, handling backups and restore, and most administration tasks. If you change this path on an already installed server, you will break the installation.
Question: Can I select different Modelon Impact productivity profiles for my users?🔗
Answer: No, there is a single profile that applies to all users.
Question: How do I configure Single Sign-On (SSO) or Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on my instance of Modelon Impact?🔗
Answer: SSO and MFA is supported in Modelon Impact. It is possible to configure this in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) tooling provided in the software. Modelon Impact can offer SSO integration using the OpenID Connect framework. Please contact support@modelon.com to find the best solution for your environment.
Question: Can I scale my instance of Modelon Impact over several servers?🔗
Answer: No, the Customer Hosted Modelon Impact is designed to run on a single server.
Question: Is it possible to run Modelon Impact on a different Linux distribution than Ubuntu?🔗
Answer: Customer Hosted Modelon Impact requires Ubuntu. This may change in the future.
Question: I already have my own Kubernetes or Docker setup. Can I run Modelon Impact in my existing infrastructure?🔗
Answer: Customer Hosted Modelon Impact runs as a pre-packaged stand-alone service. While it may technically be possible to run Modelon Impact in other ways, Modelon can’t support these types of environments.
