Firewall and SELinux

Modelon Impact will run with SELinux enabled, and it will configure iptables for Docker. We recommended that you further protect your server with an external firewall.

Load Balancer / Web Application Gateways

If needed, Customer Hosted Modelon Impact can be installed behind an existing external load balancer / web application gateway / firewall. If the external device terminates TLS sessions, you will have to install the same TLS certificate both in Modelon Impact and the load balancer. We recommend using a health probe that fetches https://[YOUR_IMPACT_SERVER]/hub/login. You are responsible for configuration of any external devices. Note that Modelon Impact makes use of HTTPS and WebSocket protocols for traffic to the server.
